While I think he has a talent for music, people blow age versus ability way out of proportion and as a result a lot of children are "forced" to practice night and day at the expense of being children. They grow up to be great musicians, sure, but at what cost when they'd still get where they need to...

I love it how he talks about Petrucci as if he's a better guitarist than him. I love Yngwie but he's simply not got (or hasn't demonstrated) the wealth of technique required to be "better". On or near a level playing field as raw chops go maybe, they could jam together, but nowhere near as musically...

As much as I would love for it to be otherwise, it looks like they never released the song in any format. You might find bootlegs however.

From what that video showed: a hell of a lot.

Personally I'd love to have Steve there too but you have to get more diversity in there otherwise it's just going to get stale. It's Satch's baby.

Can anyone tell me why the track was sped up for the movie? Listen to the Elusive Light and Sound track and the movie the movie is higher and ever so slightly faster. Considering how impressive it is at normal tempo, why change it?

What do you mean 'how the hell would they know?' Who the hell are you? No need to get defensive! If you must know, I believe it's because someone can say to them to sing a certain note and they can sing it straight away. And apparently, not everyone has the ability to be able to do that or s...

they reckon that it's something you either have or don't have, you can't learn the ability to have perfect pitch. How the hell would they know? Perfect pitch is obtainable, some people require extensive ear training others pick it up pretty much immediately. It's a sliding scale and everyone has a ...

Leanne_777, am I right in thinking that the keyboard parts for 'Scenes....' were written by Derek but played and recorded by Jordan? If that's the case I preferred Derek's playing. I find the keyboard parts on later albums a little 'cheesy'. For example, 'Overture' from 6DoIT is like a Disney film ...
