Re: new to the board

Welcome back.... Share your music, don't make me go on another hiatus! Haha, and I hate jemsite... I've been trying to register there for years, it won't let me, thinks I am a spammer. I've used different emails, computers, login IDs, emailed them through contact us, and never could get registered. ...

Re: Your favorite Delay pedal?

After saying I don't want or need an analog delay. I think I'm going to order the new Waza craft dm-2 reissue. It will get me by for now. It's smooth and warm sounding and is a highly collectible pedal (the original) and then will get a second digital delay, haven't decided yet, Why don't you like e...

Re: NO installation services for Fernandes sustainer?

Bro, guitar center garage will even do this at some locations. Installers for things like this are a dime a dozen, any guitar tech should be able to. Why would you want it installed anyways, isn't that a little like when you called us copycats! Just kidding, but any skilled tech can do it. Good luck.

Re: Your favorite Delay pedal?

Will look into all of those, thanks. Current set up is Ibanez RG's - 550/350dx or DBZ Barchetta (don't hate, it's actually one of my favorites!) into bad horsie wah, various pedals, overdrive, distortions, chorus, holy grail reverb into a Vox AC30 or valvetronix at practice. This rig replaces an axe...

Re: Dave Weiner backing tracks

Yes!!! I also read/heard don't remember where, that the trio group "visible at night" with him on guitar will be doing an album this year. I'll pick up the CD soon! I'm taking your word for it. Get my jam on to some acoustic music! But really, everything he's done that I've heard has been absolutely...

Your favorite Delay pedal?

Hey vai fans. I'm in the search for a new delay pedal. I think I will go Eventide time factor, or Strymon timeline, but have not decided. What is your favorite delay? One of these? Another I'm not looking at? Why? Are there ones I'm overlooking? I love ambient textures and weird sounds too, so I'm n...

Re: The truth about playing fast

I disagree, it's a learnable skill. These kids practice ten hours a day and live, breathe, and speak guitar. Practice perfect, practice hard, practice til you can't any more. You can do it. I remember when I couldn't do any of this stuff, but with a regime change, a set schedule, some great online l...

Dave Weiner backing tracks

Don't know if I missed an update somewhere on his Facebook/site, but he has backing tracks for onRevolute for sale in his web store. It's still one of my favorite CDs. if you haven't got the chance to hear it yet, your missing out! I said it before, but he is way more than Steve Vai's rhythm player....

Re: How important is learing to play "in the style of_____"?

I'd say it's very important. I came from the other side of the view, thinking there's no point in copying anyone, but you learn techniques, skills, how they play their songs. Why did they play that note type thinking and changed my mind. Lets face it, would we have great guitarists today, if they di...

Re: Hey everyone. Dave Weiner, guitarist in my band for the

I signed up as well. The site is top notch. The JamTrax alone is worth the cost. If you get the Pro+, I think its called, (the 19$ one) it has the awesome boot camp. I was worried it wouldn't be worth it, but it really does give an entire months of practice and lessons and motivation on it. Well wor...

Re: I'm Starting to Get Bored of Playing

Tough break bro. It would seem to me that songwriting in the next natural step, put your thoughts that you spent so much time learning the techniques of on a tape! Me personally I started recording on a little digital recorder (the type you would use to record a lecture) it cost me 10 bucks at Wal M...

Have you seen the new cabs from them for the Legacy 3? Pretty sweet, green grill that matches the green covering of it!! I think it stands out like crazy. Worth a look, good price too.
