Re: Legacy III

Carvin has poor reliability? :) I'm playing a very early 90s (or late 80s) x100b and a mid-90s vm100 .. really can't say i've had any issues with 'em, and /I've/ had 'em for 6 and 10 years, respectively. :)

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

Right, and I'd rather have the Sugi over a stock Ibanez. My point was just that the Evo starts out as a Sugi built guitar, not a Fujigen built production 7vWH.

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

Heh, I've had my 7vWH for close to 12 years, and it's the most stable guitar I've ever played, both before and after I swapped the Lo-Pro for an Edge. I'd never get an Evo (because, well, I can't afford one), but I'd put mine up to it - especially since all the scars it has are mine. :)

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

Well, that's like saying pointing out the difference between who builds a Tom Anderson strat v. a Fender strat is just splitting hairs. :)

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

It's built by Sugi - they're a small craft builder, not the Fugijen factory. They're also built to be this way, as opposed to "broken" like the real Evo. A bit more about it: http://www.ibanezrules.com/new/jemevo.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

It's worth pointing out that the Evo doesn't start life out as an regular 7vWH.

Just got back from Biscuit & Blues. :D Still grinning. Downstairs (where MKB/BBB played last year) is much nicer than upstairs (where I saw the 'crats last year).

Re: Ibanez Evo, just accept it!!!

"Money grabbing exercise" seems a bit excessive. I've fiddled with one, and it's truly fantastic. I couldn't afford one for the far foreseeable future, but as an instrument itself, it's outstanding. FWIW, a Sugi guitar goes for many thousands even when it isn't a "famous" guitar's replica.

Re: The Middle of Everywhere

Once again anuj, this is a message board, where opinions are expressed and discussed whatever they may be. Which is what I was doing, and with the freedom afforded to all folks here, I choose to not engage in what I consider pointless debate. :) That said, we've had this conversation before, and I'...

Re: The Middle of Everywhere

You spend so so so much time expressing your disdain at anything Steve does that isn't what you like, it's kinda .. not so much fun. :)
