On A Good day I can squeeze out good solid sixteenth notes at 130 bpm, but I'm a bass player, so I'm sure you all have me beat.

Re: Music is not Competition!

perfect example: Battle of the Bands.... :x Well, music isn't about competition, but the music business is a competitive industy. There are only so many spaces for labels to sign bands, only so many spots on big shows or national tours, and only so many opportunities to get free time in a pr...

Yeah i get what your saying, but this tab had only 3 16th notes and the 5 was above it but there was no extra number to indicate the beats. Also iv seen in a tab instead of putting neutuplets like i think they should have, they put a 3 at the top instead, but then on a measure late on they use the ...

Mac's are better. I had a PC for years and hated it.

If you want a computer that does what you tell it to, when you tell it to, and quickly, buy a Mac.

And it's just better when it comes to audio applications. There's a good reason everyone uses Mac's to run pro tools.

You know like a vamp with Dmin-G7 for D dorian.
Danke :)
If you do Dmin-G7 for a long time it's going to feel like a ii-V in C. It'll probably never feel stable until you hit a C.

Depends, if you're looking for the amp you'll take to the grave....rob a bank. If you want a small practising combo you can take to jams a VS15 wouldn't be too bad but an AVT20 is probably *and I quote from the Marhsall magazine a la Jerry Horton [Papa Roach]* "The best sounding small combo I've he...

okay, don't let it confuse you, but the guitar has been transposed up an octave to make it fit in the treble clef better. this doesn't affect anything as far as reading or anything like that, as long as you're reading for guitar, or bass for that matter. just keep in mind if you're reading a piano p...

Play how is most comfortable for you. I don't really agree with Roger, and I definately don't agree with some of the stuff on the site. That guy saying you have to put your thumb over the neck to bend is more or an excuse than a technique. Here's what I reccomend. while holding your guitar drop your...

i went to school with a bunch of awesome bass players, and joined a band that plays at least 15 hours a week. thanks to the intense environment at school i practice at least 2 hours every week day by myself and several more in combos and stuff. factor in time spent in lessons and music related class...
