Try taking songs you know, and writing a new melody over the changes. Also, when you learn a tune, dissect it. How does it build? What is the form (verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus?). Ahh, I assumed he meant like an electric upright bass. Bass players call those stick basses too, and I thought that's what he meant. I retract the out of tune statement.

that wouldn't work with a universe.youre pickup config is humbucker-single coil-humbucker, right? what varcon is talking about is for guitars with 2 or more single coils. what you do is install pickups that are wound in opposite directions, and then you essentially get a humbucker, but you can't do ...
