soul to me,in its purest form,is "tender surrender".to me this is the most genuine piece ever expressed on a guitar!

hi emerson.
i prefer to put effects like delay, reverb, flanger, phaser and tremolo into the loop, cause to me they sound best there.especially delays don't make your sound so muddy but stay "clean"when run through a loop.
just try it out and you'll hear the difference.

you're right Logic.
Although, i didn't buy my marshalls 'cause they're mainstream.i just liked and still like the way they sound.and yes,the more stuff you have, the more strange noises you can produce.
it's all a matter of taste!

The guys you mention have more "slick" tight, tasty rock phrasing then maybe the shred guys you are into. This has to do w/ rhythm. Work on doing more groove type soloing, rather than running scales. Practice w/ the metronome trading off rhythm w/ soloing, but always let the groove be felt by your ...

You're absolutely right with what you describe.I think it has to do with the volume. The louder you play, the more you"boost"all frequencies. So mostly you get a feeling of having to much highs(like an icepick in your ear) when you play loud.Bass for example doesn't "hurt" your ears when its too loud,h...

Seems like i'm the only one who likes Marshalls here... seriously i played the amp and a/b-ed it to the tsl and dsl 100.it's nice to have all those channels, but they don't sound like the originals(jcm 800,plexi etc.).this is a transistor-amp and doesn't respond to the volume-pot of my guitar...
