Thanx for the info.

I purchase the Guitar Techniques mag since 2001 and it's great.
Will there be a transcription of his parts in it?

Truly amazing!

When I heard the part where he plays like Satch, I just wondered for a while, if Satch has ever played that fast...

By the way alexkhan, do you know what guitars Guthrie used for the recordings?

I use two Digitech Digidelays which have six or seven modes each ( analog, tape, mod, reverse, tap tempo etc.). Each mode allows you to choose from 150ms up to 2sec. Now if you set the delay to a max of 800ms then 12o'clock on the dial would be a 400ms delay. If you need exactly 432ms (or some other...

Hi svelt pen, I use two delays as well in my loop, mainly because I don't like distorted sounds with reverb. I've got my first delay set at Level 10 o'clock with three repeats at 250ms. The second delay is set at 9 o'clock for Level and two repeats at 500ms. I use the short (first) delay mostly all ...

:P
I agree.
I had the pleasure to play an Ecstasy twice and I'll probably never ever forget those sounds.

Why would i wanna be steve vai??? Because his whole image and everything is cool ! Isn't calling yourself 'Jemfever' sort of a slightly less obvious way of incorporating some of Steve's 'Vai-ness' into your own persona? Unless, of course your name is legally 'Jemfever' -Mr Jemfever-that's cool! :wi...

Why would i wanna be steve vai??? I mean i love what he's doing but that is him. It's his sound his emotions that he expresses through his music. I wanna be me. I want people to say"hey that's jemfever" after having heard a couple of notes from me. To me it's all about creating your own style. I bel...

It's a shame the Flower Pattern JEM is not in production.

maybe, but again, most famous (even clean) amps are not class A: any fender except for pre-60s champs and princetons are AB (IIRC), VOX-es too. I mean, I've got two class A tube amps (built by me), one very clean and one (very) dirty and love them both. But my point is that I'd never go after one a...

Maybe he's working on a non- locking trem. Remember the "Thomas Nordegg Featurette"?
This is what Thomas said:
...But I hope Steve will go in the not too far future without the locking nut. You don't need the locking nut up there. My friends whammy goes to zero every time."

So, who knows?

What I really can't understand is, how he couldn't have heard what was going on there??!!! I disagree, I think he did notice and he even try to play accordingly (the last note of his solo "falls" in), maybe that "the show must go on" feeling took over. My bad. You're right that he tries to bend the...

yeah it was the keyboards that were off, the wrong sample rate or frequency or sometihn Actually that's not right. Compare the keyboard pitch on the other live recordings from this tour and you'll see, that the keys are perfectly ok. The problem is, that Eddie was given a guitar with an other tunin...

First of all it's not about "bashing" people who play Jems through Legacy amps. For shure this is a great combination. I think the point here is, that a lot of people go out and simply buy equipment without having tried other guitar/amp combinations. They just buy the stuff because their hero plays ...
