jimmy page is my choice because of the songs he has written throughout his career. every single led zeppelin album is different and he was not afraid of experimenting with new things. regardless of what people say ..."he's sloppy live!", its easy to forget how much the man improvised in concert, 15-...

I think a better example of these themes and licks going from song to song is Dream Theater, Just listen to Scenes from a memory, you will also hear all sorts of things through out all of there albums that are repetative... I like to think of it this way, vocalists use the same words a lot, and whe...

I think people shouldnt bag on EVH. Yes, he may not SEEM like a great virtuoso, but he was in a pop band, and that probobly didnt let him ripp as hard on the guitar because ya gotta make room for the singer ect.....and if he ripped it up on the guitar like satch or vai, the band would never get rad...

if you ask me a "virtuoso" is a musician that can play absolutely anything he or she hears in their head. they use all the tools (different technqiues on their instrument) available to them to make really beautiful music. TRUE. I agree with you att all points. But that doesn't mean you can make awe...

the cd and dvd are totally different shows.

ive read in an old GW thats the way the guys wanted it, they hated buying live albums that were the same as the video.

and YES there are overdubs on the live cd.
vai said something like the crowds were from 2 different shows on answers.

heres one i used

pick a note

find it in every spot on the low E
then the A
then the D
then G
etc etc

do it until you can do it in your sleep

then move on to the next note make sure you do this will ALL the notes.

then after then practice chromatically and say the note before you play it.

i (AB)use the hell out of my whammy bar with my 7dblk, and it never goes out of tune.

it could be a number of reasons why yours goes out of tune

both double locking nuts secured?

is the tension between your strings/springs adjusted?

are you using a new set of strings?
