Re: State of mind!
- Modes are not just the same scale that begins and end on different notes. They are the same notes in a different context, in a different light. Only practicing them as scales from the mode root to the mode root is tedious and not musical While I agree with you that it is important to understand t...

Emulating Jeff Beck or Vai or whatever other artists who move you is great. But it should be specific songs that are not only great songs, but ones that also just feel really great to play too. You can almost step right into their feel and mood. Certain songs by certain artists are really like that....

And that leads me to the next reason why I hate and want to kill all guitarists. They all always start arguments on the internet where there was no reason at all for an argument to start, and then they all band together like little politically correct nazis and try to pretend how mature they are bec...

I am chilled out. Maybe all of you are the ones who need to get there. I get sick of every time I type something on any guitar forums how somebody's got to make it a fucking argument when there is none there. I guess everyone on guitar forums are all just a bunch of braindead crack monkeys with gian...

More questions and more answers are another step. No sense in getting ahead of the current step one is on. Sorry my friend but i disagree with that! Knowing the next steps is very important especially in situations where you get tired of studying something and you wonder 'whats the point ??'...

Just learn the MAJOR SCALE all across (and up and down) the entire fretboard in all Keys. Then you will know all of the notes and all of the patterns for all of the modes. Say he/she learns the above. Of course in the end one arrives at the question of...."Now what." No clue with which chords to as...

Re: Qestion for everyone

Sean, Phrygian Dominant has always sufficed for me. That tells you that it's Dominant and that it has a b9 (and a b13) as well. Stringbreaker, that's funny because people usually complain about images being too big. Personally I like the smaller sized ones you posted. They're just right and you can ...
