Beatles aren't overrated,but this thread sure as hell is. Musically the Beatles are not overrated and their early work is fine,unless you're a teeny bopper wuss wuss metal or emo sissy. The 1 finger per fret rule is actually

1 finger per fret PLUS the index can reach 1 fret lower down out of that position

and the pinky can reach 1 fret higher up out of that position
