If it's in your budget, check out an Empress Superdelay (considered the best tape delay emulation by many) and the Eventide Timefactor (dual delay, loads of features and more modulation options). Both pedals get rave reviews, even from the tone snobs at The Gear Page.

Well, seeing as how I'm a Canadian, then yes, I would say duct tape should do the job nicely...Also, you may want to pour some beer into the pickup cavities and polish the body with maple syrup

Re: How does Steve keep his rig so quiet?

How does Vai keep the noise and hiss from all the gain he uses quiet, when i've looked through his rig setup guides and i haven't seen any noise reduction pedals? Hiss or slight hum should be attenuated NOT killed, most multieffect rack units and all in one pedalboards with noise gates have that me...

I can see this thread being locked up pretty quick...Steve's religion and Steve's views on politics are his business, and I'm sure if he wanted to make it known, he would. Just live and let live.

Renge, you should also try out the Brent Mason Hot Wired pedal IMHO. It's 2 pedals in one (clean/dirty boost and overdrive) , hand built in the USA, true bypass, and no noise or harshness at high volumes. I got one and it's the best thing I've ever stepped on! This demo shows what the pedal can do t...

not vai- i dont recall him ever using a boss dd delay pedal

(satriani uses i think the dd5 and dd3 together to work with his chorus)
DD2 and DD3 set short and long in the fx loop. He's currently working on a Vox delay pedal called the Time Machine.

Try it out and then you'll know first hand. It's not a smart move to buy gear without trying it yourself first.
