I normally get any vai album for £7 - £10 ($14 - $20 roughly)
But some of the older ones new, I have managed to get for as little as £5 (around $10)

Take some guitar grade exams and you'll learn all the chords you ever need in a rock context. I'd recommend the RGT exams. I second that. RGT exams are very well structured and a great way of learning. I third the motion! plus you get a cool looking certificate at the end of it. unless you fail.

Na mate, you can make a heck of a lot of money from session guitaring just in a recording studio. as long as the mainstream rich artist's hire you.

For us poor guitarists out there, unless we/you are mainstream and extremly lucky, id say your best bet is to go for being a session guitarist and also music/guitar teacher.

The problem is his peers will probably use him for attention and money while he is young, and the only thing he will know is speed playing and nothing musically. thats all. I dont know, now that hes got the technique down he might now be able to find his voice on the guitar, rather then just pointl...

It's funny how guitar love works like falling in love with girls, some times it shouldnt happen but you just cant help it, other times it's a lets just be friends kind of thing then "hell how did this happen?" A caress, a fleeting glimpse or hearing the tone just tells you it's gonna be the one. 8)...
