Re: What Jem7v is better ?

so why then, is the neck on EVO almost exactly like the one on my friends 7dbk and my early RG? And what year 7v would I have to buy to get the thinner neck?

Re: What Jem7v is better ?

there has been much talk about swapping the edge-pro for a low-pro and it will work....only if you want to route out your body & possibly suffer some intonation issues.
it is definately NOT a direct swap.

Re: What Jem7v is better ?

I was kind of wondering the same thing.
I'd like to find an earlier 7v with Ebony + "thin wirey neck" like EVO
also routed for Edge/Edge-Pro.

When did Ibanez change the neck thickness?
I've got an '03 & the neck is thicker than the older ones.

Re: backstop or not ?

I've found that inserting a piece of nice pliable foam between the block & body will help with unwanted flutter (like when you pick a string too hard.....also known as bad technique..... and the bridge flutters on it's own. the piece of foam with stop that & still give you full motion both up & down...

Re: New Steve interview

I particularly liked this one: If you had to give one piece of advice to an aspiring guitarist, what would that piece of advice be? Really enjoy playing the guitar. Don't worry about anything, and play no matter what. Play regardless of what anyone says, regardless of any fears you have, regardless ...
