an Evo will work fine in there :)
no problems at all

changing pickups is something you can do yourself if you know how to use a screwdriver and a soldering iron, though if you're not sure you can always take it to a guitar tech

yeah I sure hope so :P and about the noise gate pedal. is it much better than the boss ds-2? it's twise as expensive. the ISP is the best out there better than the NS2 I read a user review on harmony-central which said one guy used both to kill all the noise he had, but he put the NS-2 in his loop ...
