I'd say learn all the modes in the same key thats kind of the point of thinking modally isn't it? or to how I've understood them so far... but I don't think it matters in the long run. Eventually you're going to know all of them and it won't be an issue. The circle of fifths/fourths still applies to...

TC Electronics recently released a pretty fancy stompbox version of one of their older delay processors if delay is the only thing you need (no point in starting a rack if you already have almost everything you want on the floor) http://www.tcelectronic.com/NovaDelay.asp Eventide also have just made...

So, a couple of questions before I start looking at bits that might go together need to be asked. The neck joint. If I buy a thinalicious Ibanez neck, what mods will it need to bolt on to a Strat body? Obviously, if I buy one with a curved, palm-friendly curved heel joint, the bolts aren't in a squ...

if you know the chords from ionian (maj7 m7 m7 maj7 7 m7 m7b5) just rotate them around a bit and you can see the order of chords in aeolian in there

All of these have got a minor third, perfect fifth, and minor seventh. that offers you a few different ways for the other chords around it same goes for maj7, i...
