^ wrapping it in teflon tape is also a good solution (that white tape plumbers use to make pipes fit together tight)

nope, when you let go it returns to what it normally was (which is a good thing, as it means you can keep playing aftering doing big divebombs and other whammy bar tricks...which would probably make a guitar with a regular trem go badly out of tune) "locking tremolo" refers to another one of its qua...

How much are you willing to spend? Are you willing to get it used from somewhere like ebay? I'd say stay away from the RG350DX, because the floyd rose on it (edge 3 if im not mistaken) is cheap and will break easily. Dude your just saying that because everyone else does.. I have the RG350DX and its...

for Ibanez's current lineup: RG1570 or any other Prestige Ibanez S470 or for used Ibanezes, just get anything with a model number high than 500 (e.g, RG550, RG560,RG570), with the Edge/LoPro Edge you're pretty much guaranteed to get an awesome guitar though go and play the guitars if you can! you kn...

I have yet to hear Flex-Able Leftovers :( Flexable is a cool album though :) I personally don't really care much for Aerosmith, I've got a "best of" somewhere around here, and there are a couple of cool songs, I mean Dream On is legendary but I don't know if theres any rock vocalist that does this k...

I was giving the answer to the question. Seemed strange that someone asked a question about something specific (i.e where middle C is) and someone replied without actually answering the specific question. Q: Where is D on a guitar? A: An F is at the 1st fret on the E string. . . . and a D is...

it's a shame this thread is 3/4 just squabble and bickering :(
This IS the Vai forum so someone posting here doesn't have that bad taste in music and there's a handful of us do take interest in other genres such as hiphop

So, middle C is 5th fret on the G-string? Lol, you guys don't seem to be getting along. :P yep random tidbit of information: I believe bass is actually a transposing instrument like guitar is, it sounds an octave lower than written. So middle C in pitch (or 261.6hz) is an octave above that (17th fr...

No, that is an 8ve below middle C. Middle C is in fact on the first ledger line above the staff. I didn't say it was middle C :P (yeah, I am aware of it being on the first ledger line) I just said where that C is on the fretboard but yes... the threadstarter's question was asking about the middle C...

I'm not sure if they're even out yet. I think they're just hitting stores over the next 2 months. That Eventide one is $400, and it is basically 2 seperate delays in one, and does looping too... ....but the price as much as the G-Major's (and in that scenario I think I'd almost go with the G-Major a...

in bass clef, the C on the 2nd space in the staff would be the C at the 3rd fret on the A string
