Who designed Vai.com?
Hope this is in the right forum.. I was just wondering who designed this awesome website? I'm going to a 4 year graphic design school and I've always been interested in this stuff. So whoever's behind desiging Vai.com -- AWESOME JOB! The graphics, layout, fonts, everything works wonderfully together...

Help with Vai's 'Juice Solo' from G3 in Denver..
I -love- this version, and i've been looking everywhere for the tabs but can't seem to find 'em. I've tried transcribing the solo bits myself but Steve's just too fast to follow :( . Does anyone know of a place that i could find (buy) tabs for the Denver version of Juice including all of the lead pa...

Well I'm lost on the spiritual issue.. I had an overwhelming spiritual presence in my life a few years ago. At the time, I was innocent and naive, had o idea about the influences of marijuana on the brain and make the idiotic and irresponsible decision to smoke my life away for almost two years stra...

I'd go for a Keeley Ds1 (Ultra Mod) and a good EQ pedal which you can store several presets for. Boss makes a really neat 10 band EQ pedal. For Vai's sound (or something close) - check out his amp/effect settings. There's a thread here somewhere with pictures. In the meantime, for Marty's sound you ...

Dark = :D 'Building the Church', 'Blue Powder', 'The Mysterious Murder of Christian Tierra', 'For the Love of God' and 'Bad Horsie', among others, all set a pretty dark, intense atmosphere and sense of doom (at least in my mind). I think Steve's really good at sculpting his records.. the songs tend ...

MUSIC THERAPY THREAD
Hey everyone, You know how sometimes you're feeling (fill in the blank) and after listening to a specific track or record your mood totally changes? List some examples of what music helps affect your mood (for better or for worse) For example: Music that regenerates my soul when I'm feeling empty, b...

Try a few pedals out. I'd look into the Bad Horsie 2, the Mark Tremonti Wah, the 535Q and the Dimebag Wah. The biggest difference in wah pedals is the type, sound and versatility of "wah" you get. If you want a variety of sounds, definately check out the BH2 and the Dimebag wah. If it's just a simpl...

There's just something about his music that makes me feel intense bouts of emotions, depending on the track. Sometimes ten seconds of a specific rhythem section or solo can literally change my outlook on life for the rest of the day. I used to work long hours at a crappy hell hole of a factory, and ...

If the USB mixer is compatible with cool edit pro (check the manual) and it runs great on your computer than yeah, definately use it. Cubase, C.E.pro and most mastering programs all kind of do the same thing. Each has its bells and whistles, but from what I've heard, one doesn't "sound better" than ...
