spider picking....well theres a warm up thats called the spider. Its a 4 finger chromatic excercise. Lets say you start on the 5th fret (A), on the low E string. Play the 4 note chromatic scale up to the C, then skip down to the next string (A string). However, this is where it gets a little tricky....

this is interesting....i think that it essenatially comes down to the gig. if the crowd is enjoying the music that you are peforming it generally helps you relax a lot quicker on stage.
