Which squels? IF you have an example or something that would be cool. This is a long shot, but it's possible he's tapping a harmonic or something, whihc is possible if you tap on the fret wire. But i'm not sure osrry.

That's pretty poor advice. I mean obviously if you can't do it and it will ruin you for a performance, leave it out. But every note is there for a reason, and every note means something, otherwise it wouldn't have been put there. I know it's kinda quesitonable in shred :P but still, it'sa good attit...

What he is doing is muting the strings with his right had to stop the un used strings from resonating during long and difficult legato passages. Whether he is playign arpeggios is irrelavent. It is rather cool eh. Vai does a huge mother fucker legato passage using this techneque in Tender Surrender.

Haha, damn it, this will e the third distortion pedal i buy haha. I already have a DS-1, but it sounded like fuck. But eeryone seems to be talking it up here, myae it's due to my amp again hehe. Around how much are those Ibanez stomp boxes? I just want a smoothe tone, you know?

Sorry, I also have a BOSS Metal Zone, and i can't seem to get a good sound from it. I can't help but think it has somethng to do with my shitty VOX 15 watt pathfinder amp hehe. I'm using a JPM Ibanez, so it's defenitly not the gutiar haha. So what setting do you guys use on your Metal Zones?. Thanks...
