Are you sure it's the arm moving and not the socket? I had a similar problem once and it turned out that it was not the tremolo arm moving but the socket where the arm goes. Tightening the socket made the problem go away. I must say three days for washers to wear out is kind of fast to me. www.jems...

Ive heard that you can use nail varnish. is that true? I had the same problem. You don't have to do that. Don't be so tense while playing....if you're sweating so much that you blacken the strings that quick, you should either see a doctor, or just try and stay loose when you play...You are likely pressing down too hard on the strings when you play...Only use enough pressure to sound the notes and nothi...
