All about feel

Well as a newbie to this forum I just wanted to add my opinion. A couple weeks ago, I went to the Westbury show after not seeing Vai in far too many years than I'd like to admit. In my opinion, the thing that makes Steve stand out above the rest is his feeling. Sure... he can burn with the best of t...

PG13

Paul Gilbert is a FANTASTIC player, with technique that would tear your arm off.
One of the best things about him......his sense of humor.
The guy is hysterical.......

Petrucci's Tone ????

Does anyone else feel that Petrucci's tone haqs suffered since switching from Ibanez to EB? Now I don't know what else was changed within his entire set up, but to me, his tone lacks the punch or bite that it had prior to his guitar change. Listen to his tone on Awake compared to Six Degrees. On Awa...

hmmmmm

Good one...... I was always a huge Vai fan. Since Dream Theater came around, Petrucci's has just floored me every time I hear him or see him play. I'd have to say, at the moment, I prefer Petrucci. Ask me tomorrow and you may get a different answer. The one thing I do have to mention is that Petrucc...

yeah.....

As on the Carvin message boards .... it would seem to be a pretty popular addition to the Legacy line. Just like a couple of you said, a 100 watt 2x12 is just way too much for what I do. And at 1000 bucks, theres NO WAY I would even think about one. Hopefully somebody sees the amount of interst in s...

Re: JPM

I own a JPM100P4 and in my oppinion it's a great guitar both playing and graphic wise (the camouflage isn't as "bad" as the other ones). The clean "in between" sound (the center two coils of both pick-ups engaged) is really unique and may put some people off but I like it. When distorted the neck h...

RG7321

I got an Ibanez RG7321 a few months ago and I love it.
It has a fixed bridge since I hate tremolos.
Direct mount pickups. And of course the Ibanez neck.
For about $300 bucks, it's a steal!!

III Side to Every Story was GENIUS.
One of the greatest albums.

Just my opinion.....

Yeah .... I love DT..... they were my favorite band that is out there right now.....until they put out Six Degrees. I think it's their weakest album yet. I was looking for it a while back and can't find it. Don't know if I loaned it to someone or what but I can't find it, and I don't plan on replaci...

Re: tough one....

In no specific order..... John Petrucci (best) Nuno Bettencourt (right up there, III Sides album...genius, but he knows it) SRV (tragic tragic loss....most passionate player ) Jimmy Page (WAS a genius) Steve Howe (could do it all) Paul Gilbert ( Lightning) Eddie Van Halen (nobody had better tone th...
