Re: Happy birthday Steve Vai

Steve, Still pumped you sent me a PM here 15 years ago, and loved meeting you in Montreal around the same time. Heavy times for me then, and your music helped me through them. I wish you a *very* happy birthday in 2020. I'll always be listening to what you have to say, with your music and with the m...

Re: The Official 'Secret Jewel Box' Thread

Long time since I have been here and I just found out about Piano Reductions 2, I also am confused about the MP version that I have, since it doesn't have anything on the spine. I got it once it came out via Amazon. Can I get a current roster as to the SJB? I purchased mine from Vai.com long ago and...

Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!

Thanks for the tip, but I'm not interested in it. I know what I like, and that's that. I was expecting something entirely different, but still went ahead and bought the CDs to support Steve anyway. I could have just searched online for the songs and listened before I bought, but I care about Steve e...

Re: Modern Primitive/PAW25 Discussion!

P&W 25 was great. Modern Primitive was *not* what I was expecting. I love Steve so much it hurts me to write this, but you fellow group of fans are the only ones who might possibly understand. My formative years were spent hunched over my $100 Hondo in my overheated room during my free-time while I ...

If that's the case, I sincerely hope the SJB version of the CD art is provided as a digital download so we can print our own. I love my bro Steve, but I'm not buying the same disc twice for a different piece of paper.

Secret Jewel Box

Any update on this awesome collection? It's been a while and I am particularly interested in hearing the "missing link" music.

Re: jewel box ?

i just found that secret interview disc tonight. after 10 years! wow. the right issues with the other stuff makes me sad too, but Steve really should finish what he started, even if he breaks even or even spends some money. he doesnt seem to be the type of guy that would let it slide, so this bums m...

Re: Songs with great bridges - suggestions please

ABBA "Dancing Queen" one of my favorite bridges of all time. no joke. love the melody change over the chord change.

hi.

I still would like the PDF or something for the chords. not all the notes.

the opening chords, and some of his classic little flexi-runs. that's all i ask. i wil take care of the rest.

what is that thing he does where it's almost like fifths, but it just seems so well... flex-able...
