Re: Billy Sheehan Solo

That guy has got some pair of hands on him!

Seriously, shook his hand outside the Ireland 05' gig (I think) and his hand nearly devoured mine...

Even more shocking was when I asked him if that bass solo was improvisation...

... he said yes.

Re: Steve's Grammy Performance with the custom Jem "PIA"

Thanks man, I've gotten in contact with him. He's a real nice guy. He ain't doing the modifications to the Lo-Pros just yet but within the next 3-4 weeks he'll be good to go!

Sorted!

A big thank you to everyone for their help.

Re: A New Jem????

I gotta be honest here, I don't think it was a good move on anyones part...!

I was annoyed enough when they took the Lo-Pro's from the stock Jems.

Re: Steve Vai's new "offset" frets

€575 to €800 is a tad much methinks.

Anyone who has this done care to give any feedback as to how it feels/plays?

Re: flo wiring

As far as I know there's a diagram and a step by step guide on jemsite for this. Just not sure of the exact page location.

Re: Steve's Grammy Performance with the custom Jem "PIA"

You are correct sir! Now my question is how do I find LR Baggs saddles to mod out an existing Floyd? The only reason I'm being so awkward is simply because I want to put an EVH D-Tuna on the Floyd and can't do this with a Lo-Pro as she stis too deep in the body..

Re: Steve's Grammy Performance with the custom Jem "PIA"

Yeah, I've seen that alright. Got in contact with those guys, they were extremely helpful but they don't sell the saddles to replace those of an existing floyd rose anymore! It says in the guitars section of Vai.com that he had two outputs and piezo loaded saddles on the Lo-Pro bridge. I guess what ...

Steve's Grammy Performance with the custom Jem "PIA"

Ok lads, I'm sure you get this one every once in a while but how on earth did Steve convince some poor sucker to take on the mind blowing task of connecting a piezo to his Lo-Pro..? Just kidding, but I am doing something similar with a project Ibanez body and any info anyone can share with me would ...

As I've said in an alt. post,I think it would be great if you released an album of covers of your fave songs..! I oved your renditions of Jimi's "Fire" and "little Wing" I would give anything to hear a S.V. version of Led Zep's "heartbreaker"!!!

Ah yes, Depp has a band with the Chili Peppers bassist, Flea. They play mainly in his Club, The Viper Room or something like that in LA. Your right about artists craving more fame, take The Hoff or Steven Segall's records for example (shudder!). However Steve somehow manages to maintain a more subtl...

Covers Album

Hey folks, I dunno about you guys, but I really enjoyed Steve's renditions of such tracks as Jimi Hendrix' "Fire" and "Little" wing. I know these are most likely once offs (due to copyright etc.) but man, it would be shit hot if Vai treated my ears to an album riddled with personalised covers of his...

Geez! Thats a toughy.. I enjoy all the matireal he done with David Lee Roth, y'know all that great 80's stuff, real kinda 'up'n'at'em' stuff. But as regards top Vai solo tunes it would have to be.. The entire thing is strange.. Steve is a V.I.P. here, who knows what privileges that affords him. Plus there's nothing to stop him owning multiple accounts to intergrate with his fans in a more subtle manner.. hell, I could be Steve Vai for all anyone else knows...!!!! Great, now I'm all paranoid n'...
