that would so much simpler..part of me wants to think it should be more complicated, but you must be right, we are overthinking it. I feel like I've been Jack Butler trying to bend up to 29th fret, what a revelation! :D

i think what he does is fret a note against the pickup coils...but not owning a guitar with his pickup configuration i don't whether 29th fret is a possible note using pickup coils...perhaps Mikey in his plethora of wisom and glory can verify? :D

Rusty Cooley's 8 string!

i was looking through an issue of Guitar Player and noticed a small section on Rusty Cooley's sidewinder 8-string guitar. That looks so SWEET! It has this bizarre fanned fretboard (multi-scale) and is so badass. Have any of you guys ever played an 8 string? looks bloody difficult, but i am overcome ...

i have this problem too...for example playing the solo from lotus feet...i end up having to make my strap disturbingly short to play it right...but i guess it would be better to play it correctly in a dorky looking way than to play it dorkily in a cool looking way :)

keep in mind the tab is not very useful without the text (no offense fortheloveofgod)...you can get a guitar world lessons book on amazon.com that has the 10 hour workout. I personally have never completed ten hours worth of the workout at one sitting, but the principle of 3 hour rotations can be ap...
