LOL glynn, I just played through a rectifier at Guitar Center, and I thought it sounded terrible and brittle, but it sounds great on your tracks! Must be in the fingers or something. I watched your "darkside shread spread" video, you're friggin amazing. I'm dying to learn the Holdsworth-sounding de...

Its a pretty cool box. Very usefull for demos and such, and not too bad hooked up to a power amp and cabs for live stuff.

That should get you started. If you are into rack stuff, the boogie 20/20 is pretty cool.

Thanks for the praise, and here is a list of the stuff: The rythem track was a stock Universe, into a line6 podXT on a piezo sim, into a M-audio delta 1010, recorded with Acid 4. The lead was a Mesa Dual Recto Tremoverb into a Recto 4x12, mic'd with a Shure sm57 via a Mackie 24-4, direct out to the ...

Welcome to the board, shredomatic!

I use 6l6's in the boogie, have never tried 34's.

I have messed around with the channel clone a bit, but I dont use it that often.

My pickups in the Uni are the stock Blaze pup's.

Well, you could do either. If you are going to run it into a clean channel, I'd use the switch up (SEM), set the level around 12 - 1, and the dist to around 2 - 3 ish, and cut the tone knob a bit, to around 9 - 10 ish. If you are going to boost the lead channel, I'd back the gain off a bit on the am...

Yea, Phil kicks ass.

There is a live recording of the band "Glass Harp" thats pretty cool, and the album "220", and "On the Fly" rock pretty hard, but they are not a vai type thing, more like an Andy Timmons kind of thing.

Yes, windows is a pain in the um. Can I install Mac OS on a windows PC? IMPORTANT QUESTION: I have a Dell laptop, 512 ram, P3Mobile 1.8, but a pretty cheapish soundcard. What would people recommend as a soundcard upgrade? No, no mac os on an ibm pc. Apple wont release it, and they killed the prodje...

I didnt think that using a ribbon on an electric was that much of a secret, but most people have a hard time dropping the coin on it, and studio's do not have that problem. I do wish there was someone making a good, quality ribbon for under 6 bills, perhaps Rode, or Shure will eventually. My baby bl...

H E R E is a 3 meg clip of it in action. Lead recto, SS recto/full power, vintage channel, treble and volume 12:00, mids and lows at 9:00, no verb or presence, gain all the way up. Low pass at 80hz, verb and echo added via waves. clean stuff was a podXT, direct. Ignore the sometimes crappy player (...

I have been trying to contact Keeley electronics for days now. Have any of you had the same problems getting through to them? I would like to get my DS1 pedal mod but I am starting to have second thoughts because it is so hard to get in touch with them. For those of you that have had the mod done d...

Thats why I made the wooden frame to put the blankets on ;) . If you get the blankets too close to the mic, you can get some weird reflections happening, or the blanket will actually move and get inbetween the cab and mic (and that sounds real bad).

So, has anyone else built one yet?
