Re: I wish FLO to be cloned, I'd buy same as i have an EVO
Sorry dudes, but Ibanez are very unlikely to make any guitars that come with a Fernandes Sustainer ever. Ibanez and Fernandes are independent and competing Japanese guitar manufacturing companies. That would be like Fender and Gibson working together to make a guitar. Probably not gonna happen...eve...

Re: Steve making a TonePrint
That's cool that Steve rocked your Jem at the gig. I did not know that. I gotta admit, you get to hang out with some cool dudes Jeroen. I did know that Steve had done extensive testing of the Fernandes and Sustainiac Systems. At least one of his Sustainiac equipped Jems, a burnt stained blue model I...

Re: Steve making a TonePrint
Just watched this. Sounds cool, I think I'm gonna load his new toneprint up on my TC Trinity reverb. I did notice the Sustainiac system in that guitar. I wonder if he is going to switch to using them instead of Fernandes? I hope he does, and here's why: 1. Sustainiac developed the system and owns th...

Re: '91 Ibanez RG570, would you "Evolution" or "The Breed"?
Awesome! I have been thinking about the Paf Joe, I think it could work well with the Gravity Storm Bridge that I just installed in my other '91 RG570fm. I also recently installed The Breed bridge in my '87 540R Radius which is tuned to drop C, and I must say I like the Breed more in a tuned down gui...

Re: '91 Ibanez RG570, would you "Evolution" or "The Breed"?
Hey dudes, I installed the Evo2 and it is excellent in this guitar. I am stoked. Excellent lead and rhythm tones and sweet harmonics! :guitar Now I am making up my mind about neck and middle pickups, I'm thinking of Dominion Neck and Chopper. I have another RG (2000 sour apple sparkle) with PAF pro ...

'91 Ibanez RG570, would you "Evolution" or "The Breed"? why?
Hey dudes, I'd like to hear what you guys think about this; I just scored a sweet '91 Ibanez RG 570,(in Emerald Green Metallic even! :o ) and I am trying to make the call between installing a Dimarzio Evo2 or a Breed for a bridge position pickup. I already have another RG with an Evolution and like ...

New for 2013, Jem 7V7, that's right, a seven string version!
:headbang The guitar store I teach lessons at is making an Ibanez order today and I got to look at the 2013 products catalog. Looks like lots of cool new stuff including the new Jem 7V7! which is a seven string version of the Jem 7V with all of the great features of the Jem7V like the vine inlay, wh...

Re: Steve's Live Guitars Pickups
does anyone anywhere have any pictures of evo with the pickguard off? Word. Maybe Steve is secretly rocking the Gravity Storm Pickups in EVO! I can't remember where it was, but I remember reading that Steve used them on Racing the World, then in a video interview I was watching a few days a...

Re: Steve's Live Guitars Pickups
Thanks for the info Jeroen! I know this next question might seem like heresy,
, but I often wonder, does EVO still have the original Evolution pickups from back in the day? (or have they secretly been changed....)

Re: Steve's Live Guitars Pickups
Right on, thanks Jeroen! Hopefully EVO will hold together for more adventures with Steve. Seems like Steve is getting into the lightly scalloped more and more these days. Do you know if he is using the new Gravity Storm PU's? Also, did he name his seafoam green jem yet? Thanks!

Re: Steve's Live Guitars Pickups
Cool, thanks for that info guys! That is interesting about the PAF Pro in FLOIII, I wonder if Steve is using that PU because of the Sustainer System's effect on the sound? I have a 2000 RG570 with an Evo2 and a Fernandes FSK101 system and to me, it seems a bit darker sounding than my other RG with t...

Steve's Live Guitars Pickups
Hey folks, new here but longtime Vai fan. I am wondering about Steve's touring guitars and what pickups he is using live. I'm guessing that EVO still has the original Evolutions, but I wonder about the other axes. Is he using the new Gravity Storm PU's in any of them? What is the single sized HB in ...
