Re: Making of stairway to heaven

I love Steve so much that I hate to say this. The track is terrible IMHO. I can't think of any redeemable qualities the track has. To me, it's very disrespectful of the original, and I'm disappointed that Steve was involved in bringing it to life. Only Bono could have thought this was a good idea. I...

Re: I'm sorry, I need more WTWTA discussion

I don't recognize WTWTA as a landmark. It's great and all, but a landmark? I don't share your opinion. When you say landmark, I think of Hendrix at Woodstock and Pink Floyd performing The Wall in it's entirely. hmmm ok I do see it as landmark just like those. Interesting. I appreciate you sharing y...

Re: I'm sorry, I need more WTWTA discussion

This might be a silly question....but why have two threads for the same discussion? Not silly, but let me explain why...because this recording is EPIC BEYOND WORDS! Thus..we could have 10 threads on it and I would think nothing of it. But even if that weren't the case, other reasons include the fac...

I'm sorry, I need more WTWTA discussion

This site is killin' me...I came here after seeing the WTWTA DVD and I think it's one of the greatest works I've ever seen. But there's just the one DVD review thread?..as if this isn't a legendary recording?? I don't get it. I respect everyone's right to be a Vai fan in their own way, but I just do...

Re: "Live In Minneapolis: Where The WIld Things Are" DVD REVIEWS

So...I'm new here at the forum as a result of getting the DVD a few weeks ago. I'm an old-school Vai fan, but for years I went a different direction and didn't really keep up with Steve's happenings. Bad fan, I know. But watching this DVD...it's hard to put into words what I feel. It's definitely be...
