The Professor
This is a fantastic album. Not that I ever worry with Joe the guy just gets it music is not scales kiddies even though Joe cuts through them with plenty of easy. The songs on this CD are simply fantastic. Some of the comments are this thread are so dump they must be posted by 13 year olds. Blues sca...

Hey jemgirl, I think it is very common to have paint cracks at the neck joint of the Jems and RG series guitars, and yes my 555 and 550 both have them only cosmetic. Again I'm not saying the TRS is amazing cause I have one so I have to like it . I'm just stating that after all the crap I read about ...

Low Trs whammy truth
Ok I've seen a lot of question concerning the low trs whammy specifically on the Jem 555. Ok the truth is it's not a bad whammy, not the greatest in the world either but definintley doesn't deserve all the bashing the jemsite.com gives it, what a bunch of whiny snobs. I have an RG 550 with an edge p...

Tree Vine Inlay
Ok so I'm a lefty and have been playing an RG550 with evolutions for years but I just bought a lefty Jem 555 from ebay. Does anybody else have trouble playing with the vine inlay? I've been playing guitar for over 14 years so I know the guitar neck pretty well but the inlays really are screwing me u...

Wow find some of the negative comments a tad strange but you can't like everthing I guess? Although if you listen to guitar music which I would think since I'm on a Vai Message Board you would love this album? What instrumental album is better than it that has come out in the last year? Joe has the ...

Well if you ask me it sounds excatly like Dokken. That may or may not be a bad thing. My one complaint is George does not really let loose. He is still playing well but you now he is holding back a bit to keep the groove of the song. I don't really know why he would do that considering only Dokken f...

Two handed tapping
I belive Jag uses Joe Satriani "Midnight" technique of two handed tapping (four fingers) for that section of Juicy, nice to see that technique still being used, since most guitar players today don't tap at all

TQMD review
How cool is this. I would never have thought that IME would be on a Steve Vai message board but true to the nature of the love of guitar here we are. The new IME album is truly fantastic more on the heavy prog side than thier previous efforts and I'm loving it. Just saw them play live in Ottawa and ...
