Please excuse the question but who is Allan Holdsworth? I think that the reason why Fripp was ignored by the G3 audicience it's because of the age gap. Most of the people that follow Vai and Satch started listening to them during the '80's and since then they have stayed loyal to both players, in s...

What Vai did for the 7 string guitar is pretty much like EVH did for the tapping, he didn't "invent" it, but he popularized it. You can say the same for Steve. Anyways, I remember an interview when he said that at the moment of develop the idea of an extra string, he didn't know that another guy alr...

It will only be 3 songs from each artist. Mikey vai.com Oh, that's a bit disappointing but very predictable. I don't understand the guys who make those kind of decissions, I mean, Vai, Satch, Petrucci, Malmsteen, etc. well... they aren't like Britney, Jessica Simpson or that kind of stuff, who are ...

What do you think?
Well, to put it short: I love this band, they seem full of musical ideas, very cool.

Frances The Mute is awesome but I think that Deloused In The Cromatorium is their best album, better than FTM.

Hmm, very hard to decide, I'll name the guys that I like most: Bozzio: Awesome in every aspect, you can hear is great vibe in S&R, too bad that he never played live with Steve (I mean in that tour). Donati: An alien, probably the most technical drummer ever (along with Vinnie Colaiuta). Strangely, b...

I think having long fingers would be an advantage, but obviously you have to learn how to use them...Steve has long fingers and can play really fast, but someone like Satch has fairly small hands but still burns up the fretboard. Doing excersises that improve the muscles in your joints helps - some...

I don't really think it matters on anything but a subconcious, ego boosting level. Randy Rhoads had tiny fingers and ripped...almost twenty five years ago. +1 Another example: Michael Romeo. He has rather short and fat fingers but he is a monster player (altough I dislike his music, lol) Saludoskis...

The third video (in Brasil) is fantastic, at the end, after the Bumblebee, he plays something that I can't describe... it's so "emotional" (for a lack of another word ). It's called "Bumblebee Crash Landing" and was written to fit after Flight OTBB . And yes I run Extreme4Ever (even though I d...
