Re: new track "Without Me"

I'm really impressed with this track. Sounds great.
Annoyed I didn't hear about it's release (on the Musicians for Minneapolis CD) prior to this Vaitunes deal.

Can't wait to hear more :)

Out of all his guitars probably:

1) The FIrst Strat
2) Evo
3)Flo

if we're talkin' about JEMs, bump Evo and Flo up and stick MOJO at 3rd. . I'm not the most interesting but I love those guitars.

I've known about the Carvin Legacy II for a while now, I thought it was now common knowledge.

It's pretty much Clean, Lead and Boost.
No idea on any other features though..

That's really well built. Nice finish too, assuming it's similar to that "purple chameleon" finish?
Jaden's a nice guy, I'm getting a maple pyramid inlay neck made by him for my Ibanez S470.(getting it sprayed desert yellow too).

The crossroads festival, he uses Evo, in fact at the start he's switching bewteen Flo and Evo so it's may be a matter of tuning or whatever he prefers.

I believe in my Carvin it's either three in a tent shape or three straight, not too sure, need to open her up.
And my Ibanez is however the ZR comes stock.

Why wouldnt a strat sound fine through a Legacy? There's more chance of it sounding good than your SG with the legacy and Vai uses an alder bodied guitar which has a single coil on it.

Anyway amps don't cater to one set of guitars both will sound good, go for it.

Fender.

I'd have a blonde strat with a black pickguard dudded out with an Original floyd rose and HSH pickup config.

Along with a Japanese '62 re-issue, sunburst.

Both I'm planning on getting, the Japanese one will be mine in a matter of months :D

Jem555 = Basswood body, half the inlay, very crappy trem, no Evo pickups, and in general is sucky An even cheaper version than that I guess would be an agathis body, no inlay, even crappier trem and . . i dunno. .no pickups? :P but seriously it wouldnt work it'd be cheaper buying an RG1570 spraying ...

What I said up there which got: "Oh yeah, I'm so stupid as to pull it right out" I didn't say you were so stupid as to do that I said you might just need a gentler touch on it because I know how easy those trems come out.

Re: Whammy Bar Troubles (Oh Dear!)

"Lol g3t a n3w tr3m dood, Lolz0rs.. p10x.." You lost my interest at that point. People don't say that. This is a forum where people who are fans of Steve Vai come to talk, many of which are experianced with guitars, and the tremolo on the RG350DX WILL break, soon. It will be best to at least start ...
