The only song I have heard on the radio of his was Giant Balls of Gold but only because radio host and fellow musician Kim Mitchell played it as part of his Damn I Wish I Wrote That segment on Toronto based radio Q107. Never heard an Eric Johnson track either, you pretty much hear Satch's Crowd Chan...

It all boils down on how much you are willing to spend for an electric guitar. There are so many different brands with guitar in a wide variety of price ranges. If you are willing to shell out around 2000 for a high end guitar, you honestly won't go wrong with the Ibanez JEM, it is a very versatile ...

Yes.

The input jack is on the side of the body, like all RG style Ibanez guitars I believe, it is nice because I hate the ones that are on the pickguard.

couldn't you fix the "not a shredders guitar" problem simply by lowering the action seeing as how im sure the AT sig. very fast so it should be "faster" with lower action right? also i don't like how ibanez is making all these "shredder" guitars for the metal guys and they are very plain your guita...

The pickguard is stock, I forgot to mention that the bridge pickup is actually swapped out at the moment for a Duncan SH-5. The guitar sounds excellent and plays great, I bought it from a guy in Oregon back in November on eBay for about 400 CAD with a flight case. I have the original bridge pickup, ...

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c177/AcousticSmash/IbanezRT650.jpg This beauty is a 1991 Ibanez RT650. Made in Japan at the same factory where the Prestige and Signature models are built such as the JEM. 24 medium jumbo frets, maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, alder body with a thin flamed ...

No Bozio or Brock = a no go for me. I saw the original lineup when Steve played and it was utterly mind blowing from both a guitarist and a saxophonist standpoint since I play both. I have seen it two times and I think it is enough, especially without the guys who played with Frank Zappa originally,...

Steve on the upcoming ZPZ shows

A date was recently announced for the Elements Night Club in Kitchener, Ontario which is pretty close to where I live for the Zappa Plays Zappa tour. I know Steve skipped the last time around, I have seen the previous two shows that were both done in Toronto, so I was wondering whether Steve would b...

I download my music off iTunes, considering the insane prices for some of his albums here in Canada just drives me insane, it is the only way I will pay for music now. HMV wants like 30 bucks for Passion and Warfare, yet it is 10 dollars on iTunes. I seriously don't care about the disc unless there ...

It will probably suck as much as Super Colossal, his albums have not been great since the early 90's.

The alternative is the RT650 which is like an RG in most ways just without the Floyd Rose, however the AT series has two singles and a humbucker instead of HSH, but Andy Timmons did play the RT650 back when they were in production and for a while after they were discontinued.

i dont think i could trust a floating trem with no locking nut :( Same here. I would put one on my RT650 but only if I was going to put in a Floyd Rose bridge. If they release another JEM with a sustainer pickup for the same price as the current JEM's and they lower the price of the originals then ...

The Fallen Angel 60 watt 2x12 combo is about 750 bucks USD, which is expensive compared to the All Access one that I was looking at. They have a 40 watt model which is 680 but it is an all tube amp, the Fallen Angel series are straight tube amps, while the All Access are solid state. Plus the All Ac...
