Starting to play a keyboard
Hey guys! Haven't been here for a while, but you were always the most helpful community I've stumbled upon, so I'm gonna ask here... I'm playing a guitar for almsot a decade now and recently I started thinking about learning a new instrument. And since I was playing with a toy synthesizer as a kid, ...

Re: Guitar Preamp to Power Mixer
Like I said, I'm not in position to buy new gear. I'm in a middle of a college education, I work part time so I don't bother my parents with money, and I live in Croatia - even though our standard is lame and lower than USA, Germany, UK, etc., we still have almost 50% or more higher prices on everyt...

Re: Guitar Preamp to Power Mixer
I'm not really in a position to buy new equipment, let alone expensive one... I just need an easy way to rehears with my band 2 or 3 times a week without dragging my 4*12 cab and amp head to my drummers house, and than back home - for gigs, I always take it with me. So if connecting preamp to a powe...

Guitar Preamp to Power Mixer
Hi! I own a Laney GH50L which is, obviously, to big to drive around to rehersals and back home, so I used my brother's smaller TF200. He managed to broke it, so I'm in a bit of a situation here. So the question is, can I just take my ENGL e530 preamp and plug it into the power mixer and play? I don'...

Re: Steve's Playing
OK, sorry, but what's the point here?
We know that Steve is an amazing and complex player, and a wonderful person. You know it also, only you needed a new thread and 5-10 lines to "explain" that.

Re: Distortion Pedals..whats your fave?
Definitely Vox Bulldog Distortion!
It's amazing! Tube distortion, 2 channels, separate volume and gain settings for channels... can produce whole bunch of sounds. From nice crunch to agressive high gain.

Re: Jemini Pedal
It has too be a problem with the pedal. That sort of humming should not occur, especially not when pedal is powered by a battery. It may be a consequence of a wrong kind of adapter. Most of the pedals need 300mA adapters, and if you go higher, you get the problem you have. But since you've said you ...

Steve requested removal of his backing tracks from guitarbt?
This maybe is old news (or not?), but I just saw it... So, releasing of Naked Tracks have made yet another part of guitar playing - expensive... Does Steve realy need all the money he can pour out of his fans pockets? What ever happened to peace, love and good happiness stuff? When has it become bus...

I used to teach a 10 year old and it was the most unsatisfying experience I've ever had: he just didn't practise between lessons and so I went over the same stuff over and over again-pentatonic minor scale shape and improvising over a slow backing track, chords, strumming, major and minor scale sha...

also.. in my opinion 7-10 is too young for guitar- 13 is a good age for guitar... at 7-10 i'd suggest them start on an orchestral instrument, either brass, string, wind or piano and then if they're interested at 13 they can start guitar. And why is that? Playing guitar ain't nuclear science... Why ...
