Re: New EVH Wolfgang Guitar

I think basically it boils down to, he's finally got what HE wants ... not what Ernie Ball or Peavey wanted. I can't imagine a better artist, one more known for tone chasing, other than SV, to have a signature model. Yet, to my knowledge, no other artist was strong armed into making changes to his S...

I painted an EVH replica and got in trouble!

I put it up for sale and was told by Ebay through E.L.V.H. INC. that that was unacceptable! As far as I am concerned that is a bunch of horse shit. How can you copywright a "random stripe" paintjob?! If someone can explain then I will calm down. I will then paint a guitar every color (including bare...

Behringer V Amp Pro into Computer

I just got a V amp pro and also a new computer. What do I need to plug the vamp into the computer? Just a 1/4 to 1/8" adapter? I am not getting into the whole midi thing because I will get confused. Also once I have it plugged in can I use the Audacity program I downloaded to begin recording. Lastly...

Yngwie sucks, Frank doesnt. Therefore, Frank. That response gave me quite a chuckle. I have to agree with "Frank". My cousin plays drums and went to school for drums in Minnesota. He said he had a smoke with Frank outside the school and had a good conversation with him. He said he was really short....

A disturbing realization today

I have been listening to Slip of the Tongue all week. I love that album. I bought it when it first came out when I was 19. Today I am 34. Wasnt Steve like 30 when he recorded that album? Even today as much as I practice I couldnt record an album of that magnitude. That pisses me off. Kinda. :? :evil...

Need help from Dimarzio pickup/ Tone gurus

I want to replace the pickups in my guitar with some new Dimarzios. Cant decide which ones. My guitar has a basswood body, maple neck and fretboard. I want something that is warm, tight and hot. I have had an Evlution and it was very nice. I am looking for something just a touch warmer. I have been ...

Does anyone make a Jem knockoff?

I have been visiting a Van Halen board and was intoduced to OLP guitars that are licensed Music Man products. They seem to be a hit and seem to be well made for the price. Question is, does anyone make a Jem style guitar for someone on a budget?

EVO will be next. I did a Charvel in EVO style a while back. Hand painted the vine inlay on the neck. It really looked good.
Should be interesting either way. :P

I would really like to start with EVO, but now that I think about it, my guitar has a maple fretboard. I might have to start with the yellow. I gotta keep them somewhat close to the original.
