New Guitar Day! Prepare to drool!

I was looking for a guitar with dual humbucker to get that warm neck pickup tone. Then, out of nowhere, I accenditally pass by a shop I naver been to, and saw this beautiful Yamaha. She's an SBG200, made in 1985. The pearl white look and being vintage is very attractive and it is in extremely good s...

Jenny Batten & Steve Stevens rippin it up!!

It's when Michael Jackson sang Dirty Diana during the Bad Tour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HNi565BySE This performance kicks so much ass! Too bad Steve Stevens only appear during the last 2 minutes of it. Anyway this is Michael at his hard-rocking best! What might happen if MJ fronted a rock/me...

Is Yamaha too underrated......

......or beyond our understanding? In the guitar community the word "Yamaha" is often associated with starter and budget guitars, especially when it comes to the electric ones. So Yamaha is often ignored by the brand snobs and many others. But if you do a little research, you will find out that Yama...

Acoustic resonace of the Electrics and Pickups for my Carvin

Alright, I've got 2 questions that I need some experts here to teach me one thing or 2......been in my mind for a long time. 1. I have a Yamaha Ty Tabor and a Carvin DC200 from 1984. The Yammy is bolt-on and the Carvin is neck-through. But i found out that acoustically, my Yamaha is louder and has m...

Fender Blues Junior. Amazing clean sound as always on fenders and a sweet roaring crunch sound. +1 I have one myself. Sounds great with Tubescreamers, and also can do metal if you use the right pedal. On top of that, GREAT clean and plenty of headroom. Cannot get enough of it. Oh yeah..........I wo...

Ever considered a Fender Blues Junior?
It's samller than your Valve King and still sounds good at bedroom volume. But you have to plug in a distortion pedal.

Yep. It was a 2000 RG450 in cream white and white pickguard a-la Malmsteen. TRS tremolo and Ibby stock pups.....crappy sounding but no big deal. It was on sale.
Guess before 2003-4 the RG450 was MIJ.

They are not supposed to be bad by any means. Those Prestiges and most artist models are MIJ, so how can they be bad? The worst things you may have are TRS trem and not-so-good stock pickups. At least the TRS is no prob for me since i am no trem abuser but it's always good to have an Edge Pro. And I...

Man, that is what I would call "graceful"! So classical!
By the way, Michael Hedges used to play a steel-string version of that guitar-harp.
