Ah jeez. I played a K7 in a shop the other day. I instantly fell in love with the things. I was playing all those dream theater songs i could never play for lack of range. Korn assosiation aside, the thing was a beast, so easy to play, sounded amazing with the Paf pups. Lovely guitar. It makes me wa...

I went to the Hammersmith aswell. They did play the acoustic set, and they played freak show excess. The only thing i saw on the setlist for US that i didn't see was Answers, which is a shame cause i like that song. Apart from that, not really sure. I would have said that the EU tour would naturally...

And just where is the Line 6 option in the poll? Spider is probably the best amp £200 can buy, sounds amazing with my Rg. We'd all like a legacy but til i get some funds this will do just nicely. That bass amp is my girlfriends by the way, and it is also an extremely nice amp. Makes my budget 5 stri...

I think Matt Bellamy is pretty under rated. He's a very inventive player with his own style. He can play some bizarre riffs and sing really well at the same time, plus he plays piano very well, and you've got to love his amazing custom manson guitars.

Re: the hip hop and pop appreciation thread (open your minds

I really like the way you set about this thread, that comment about how we tell people to open their minds is so true. Also i've seen a video of britney singing when she was like 9 or somehting on the Frank Skinner show and she was incredible, its the image thing that pisses me off, such a waste of ...

Heh, forgot about this thread. I actually had a chat with someone about this and checked out the video a bit more and i'm 99% sure its tony by visual confirmation. There's a point at which the sound is produced but steve has his strumming hand in the air so from what i saw theres no way its the guit...

I thought that the only times Steve played the top neck it was being doubled by Tony on the keyboards, that could be the source of the sound you mean? Yeah i just watched it again, if you watch closely, the band comes out just before the first time he uses that neck, and the top and bottom necks sou...

sure the GUITAR parts are more complicated but the actual structure and timings of most Radiohead arn't exactally easy either Hrm... Compared to Vai, i think thats minimally true. Every single instrument in Freak Show Excess is incredibly well written, with ridiculous time signatures and structure....

I found out about the following gigs about 10 seconds after they had began: Incubus/System of a Down (Just got into both of them) The last G3 (I didn't know who vai was until very shortly before this) Muse (Their last UK tour, i caught them in december 04 though) I'm also trying to decide whether or...

The difference between Lordi and the other piles of crap was that Lordi wrote their own song for FUN, because they like it. All the other songs were written to try and be the best one, they all followed a formula (and i'll be damn surprised if i wasn't the only person to notice at least half of the ...

I think the point is that while he is a very talented payer, his music sounds like technical exercizes. It's lacking in the originality department. I do however have the utmost respect for the man as he can play better then pretty much 99% of guitarists in both left and right handed playing stance w...

i've been practicing that thing for ages and i can do it pretty well now. Its *almost* what you've said, but there little slides of the tapping finger to make it sound like a bigger arpeggio: -16p12h9-----------9h12-- -----------10p9h10--------- Its this pattern for a few bars repeated then; -16/17/...
