Really depends on the sound your going for. I hate changing out an original pickup in a high end guitar, unlees it's sounds crappy or is fried don't. I love the evo its a higher output pickup and can do all. if ya want a pickup thats not quite so high end then the MoJo is the best sounding pickup it...

Vai hasn't done all he could in the rock world. I would luv to see him and Sheehan do an early roth esq. album with say Mike patton on vox and bozzio on drums, Come on that would be amazing! Or Vai and claypool colaberation would be over the top.

My rec. would be to get some low gain 12AX7's and put them first in the chain then get some higher gain tube and put it at the end. The bulk of the gain is taken from the first ones so you could get a real smooth sound going that route.
