Tom Waits concert
Hmmm, must have missed my foot. Fire and I flew from L.A. To Phoenix to see Tom Waits perform. He is not coming to LA on this tour. There is no other artist I would even drive more than an hour to see, but for Tom... The moon isn't even too far.
For myself and many others Tom's shows are special and this one was exceptionally engaging.
This shot was taken before the show started and I was thinking about all the people that put themselves through great inconviniences to come to one of my shows. So sorry about that, and thanks. I have to say though, it was no inconvinience for me to spend a few days and take a flight to see Tom. Fire and I were very excited the whole time.
It's nice when it works that way.
Peace

Hey Steve! Hope you had a great time at the concert. I'm tremendously jealous - I don't think Tom Waits has played in Australia for about a million years.
At different times I've travelled 4 hours and 12 hours to see you play at the Palace in Melbourne when I was living in other cities. Then I moved to Melbourne and, as fate would have it, the Palace was practically at the end of my street, so the next time I saw you it was a short 3 minute stroll. But those two times we drove to Melbourne to see you were great experiences, cranking up some Vai craziness on the car stereo all the way down the highway.

hahaha, Steve, you are one of the traveling devotees, too, as same as me/us. lol
It's sweet that you could enjoy Tom Waits show live. I've not see his shows live yet except on the video. It might be very fun to see his show live...
No longer I don't go abroad for seeing your shows, but if you'll come to Japan, I'll be the shows as many as I'll be able to go, maybe...if your shows are not private...lol

I need to listen to more of this guy's music. Thanks for reminding me.
And driving an hour from LA . . . often doesn't even get you out of town. I can relate to your reluctance.

Well, Tom Waits will be in Paris (It is closer and more welcoming!) to the Grand Rex on July 25th.
Will you be there?
Almost one year ago we met there, do you remember?
I wait for you there.

Hi Steve,
I just want to say thank you so much for your music and inspiration. My name is Rafael and I am an avid fan of yours for many years. I am also a musician (guitar) also of 26 years. I own 2 Legacy amps and 1 Jem axe. I cherish them always. Best amp on the market by far. Hope someday I get to meet you in person. Keep rockin' and keep inspiring! Thanks so much - RN

If it was with in my grasp, I would fly to the moon just to see you in concert. Thanks for having a Blog, it's about as close as I'll ever come to meeting or even seeing you.... Well, you could schedule a concert here in little ol' Wichita Kansas. Thanks for the inspiration that you've given million of die hard guitar players. Keep it real, live and loud. Thank you so much
