Thanks for the great show. Although I wasn't that happy with the venue, I enjoyed the show very much especially because I got me meet you - my great guitar hero. God bless you and looking forward to see you again and again.
The September 22 show in Royal Oak was AWESOME. Getting to meet you and playing EVO was a dream come true. I had no idea that you would have been that aproachable and down to earth. I felt like I was seeing a friend that had been away for awhile. It is just amazing how you keep such a great atitude with your crazy-insane tour schedule. As a fan I can only hope that you will be able to get off that comfy looking lounger and make that incredibly moving music that you were truly blessed with. When you closed the show with "For the Love of God", and I did the meet and great, I was not lying when I told you that that performance had me in tears it was played with such emotion. You are the greatest, period.
Steve - The Birchmere show was the BEST and the WORST of any show ever. The song selection, energy, new band etc. was the BEST ever. The use of the Birchmere as a stand only venue was the WORST - 5 plus hours of standing and not being able to see (I'm 5'3) was pure torture. But I still love you!!
My 17 year old son mastered "For the Love of God" on his Steve Vai Signature guitar for his Senior project after seeing an amazing concert at the Berchmere. Mr. Vai would have been proud of this kid!
