As for the question: What are you practicing at the moment???
Answer: Pat Metheny's "Have You Heard" solo off the "More Travels" video.

Oh yes, my copy of EC is well worn!

So I still haven't touched my guitar in months, I haven't practised for several months and music still bores me. It'll be almost a year since I lost my mojo but now I don't really care. I don't care if I never play a guitar again. I would've found it hard to believe that I could ever get like this as the guitar and all things 'guitar' were central to my life and indeed my identity. This is just so strange...

I've resumed my Iai training once again with a view to taking a grade next year and I'm really enjoying that and getting involved with the club. I also go to the gym with my Iai instructor who acts as a personal trainer. I thought he was a little 'old fashioned' in his training ideas-I almost literally couldn't walk out of the gym after a session with him and needed to go to bed afterwards, but I'm actually making visible progress for the first time ever, with regards fitness and I'm enjoying the feeling. My Japanese language lessons are really coming along well and I'm thoroughly enjoying that. Music-wise, I tinker on my synth a bit and that's about it. Oh, and I'm now officially a magistrate/Justice of the Peace for Sheffield and so my training is taking up quite a bit of my spare time.

Skinny as you? Its exercise not a bloody miracle!
Japanese is not capable of such foul language.
No. Your groupies, I'll play with.
Don't commit any crimes in the South Yorkshire area, for my sake!

Of all the nice Japanese words that there are, you had to find 'wanker'. One of my favourite Japanese words is 'hototogisu'.

Yes, that's the one. I just love saying 'hototogisu', the bird has a lovely song and its a 'season' word used to denote Autumn in haiku.
