Every week, we receive many emails inviting Steve to birthdays, weddings, parties, bar mitzvahs and other special events.

Unfortunately Steve is unable to make these kinds of special appearances.

I think at times I've seen many people here for a variety of reason ask to much from Steve. I'm not even talking about this (more like the emails about release a new album now, or release this now, or do this now do that now... that kind of birthday thing)

I think Steve does an awesome job of getting his fans a fresh supply of material every year, and is very active in making music.

On top of that, Steve has always been very accessible to fans, he offered the meet & greet with the last album presale, he does the evo exp, he does other signings and appearances, he does the AGS, he's at NAMM every year, in fact a distant cousin (who i didnt know about till a few years ago) is a Vai fan, and wrote him a fan letter a while ago- and Steve replied to him, in a hand written card.

Look at Eddie Van Halen or Paul McCartney, they are incredibly distant- and completely unacessable to any fan of theirs.

Meanwhile look at Bon Jovi for their current tour... for $1725 for the VIP experience that includes a 1-3 row ticket, NO meet and greet, and an autographed photo. Also the tickets are sold in pairs so you can't buy one, you have to buy a pair for $3450+fees.

Steve is GREAT to his fans... let's not take advantage of how generous he is already.

I understand Mr.Vai is very busy and never expected him to come to the party i was hoping maybe a video response. I mean I didnt know what to expect I just know my 7 yr old asked for him to come and I had to see what I could do. I don't think this will harm her perception of him. She absolutely adores him. This is the reason why i am giving her a bad horsie and a lil alligator pedal for her bday.

So thanks all for the responses and for watching her video!
