As soon as I get it, I will be happy to review it. My wife and I tired to muster up the funds to go to the premier last night, but just couldn't swing it. Bummed, big time. So, we pre-ordered the DVD/CD combo and got the "Other Wild Things" audio download. That is cool shit and I am digging that. We are also curious about what the bonus features will have since we may be part of it, being we were at one of the Evo Experiences, which itself was a memorable time we will always remember. Can't wait for the end of the month and the arrival of the package.

I think that all pre-orders will ship 7-10 days ahead of the release date.

Mikey, when Steve came to M.I., I signed up to receive updates and stuff related to the new DVD but I haven't heard from anybody. Do you know anything about that?

Today, I am glad to say I broke down and ordered the DVD/CD combo, mostly for the immediate fix!
That is a must have fix of audio now!!
And I got it!!
For the price of it all, it is totally worth it. 8)

I made it to Whispering a Prayer by now and it is super awesome!!!
The whole recording is so freaking clear!

What a day to have headphones at the office!!
Woohoo!!

Obviously I cannot wait for the dvd next week.

This is really exciting b/c we were at the show two nights before in Vancouver and it was easily the best/beast show here since 1993 with Devin, or 1997 with G3. (Was that a count of 3 G-strings?)
**Thanks-- Steve signed my G3 Vancouver gig poster at the EVO here, Sept 2007 when it was almost 10 years to the day from that G3 show, I recall you appreciated the poster's age and condition!**

Now back to the topic...the audio-- it is so clear. Those that miss this download...well, oh well...
Just get the DVD !

Liberty is awesome too!
I'll need to put this on a flashdrive to crank on my drive home...
:headbang
:peace

I got the DVD today. Im going to make this a really brief review. First off I thought the DVD was great. I really enjoyed some of the new songs that were on this DVD and the old classics. The only thing I didn't like about the DVD was the violins. They seemed out of place in most of the song. Sometimes the blended in nicely and it sounded beautiful. But probably 60% of the time i found it to just sound bad. Other than that this DVD is great and i would pick it up if you can.

I know this post sounds a little negative, but the DVD is really awesome!

I saw the show live, and i'd have to agree that the violins didn't work 100% for me either. i saw the real illusions tour, and it was truly amazing... and the sound theories tour... couldn't compare. I still enjoyed it... but if it was the Real Illusions band playing the sound theories set... It would've been amazing. I've still ordered this DVD, and i'm gonna enjoy it i'm sure. Steve was amazing... violins... eh!... i wouldn't miss em if they weren't there.

God, I'm so depressed right now. I tried to order the cd/dvd combo because I wanted that signature so bad...

But the BandMerch Store kept canceling my order and now I'm left with empty hands. Repeated e-mails were sent but all I got was a standard reply.

I can only hope Steve gets to read this because he is the only one in the world that can help me now...

Warm regards,

Marc

Again, please, only reviews of the dvd here. There are plenty of other threads to post in regarding shipping etc.

Thanks for understanding.

As I said in the other thread: I bought it today at a local music store. I just watched the concert. But I also started to watch it for a second time but with the audio comments of the band members & Mikey.
What can I say? This dvd...it's....awesome at any level.
I'm going through a difficult period in my personal life at this moment but this concert registration has fully loaded me with positive energy.Unbelievable...I call it the VAI-effect.
This was the perfect band for this show. They all really belong there and they all really deliver. Tasteful art work & nice video effects. I'm really happy with all of it!!!
Steve, band, crew: Mission accomplished!!! :D
