Yup. Same thing here.
It's done this before, too.
*shrugs*
As long as I can still get on, tho, it's only a minor thing...

I like it better when it's working properly, and I don't get that minor "what the.?." panic moment...
but like I said, as long as I can still get on, I can live with it.

Hi R1FSR,
Hi Jenn,

I have the issue too, you know ...
I first thought that my account had been hacked but this is not the case.

Hereafter the email exchange with Jeroen (from more recent to oldest):

Message subject: Re: Account hacked ?
Sent: Sun Dec 29, 2013 10:01 pm
Glad to read you, J

Hope you are doing fine.
And good "luck" with the tinkering (I need to look that word up ...)

And if I don't get the chance to write to you before, let me wish you a Vai-derful New Year.

Don't worry, your account hasn't been hacked. We're tinkering a bit with some session settings etc.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hello Jeroen,

It's been a while since I sent an pm to you ;-)
Hope you are doing fine.

I just would like to know if my account has been hacked.
Since yesterday (December 18th), whenever I am logging to the Message Board, I receive this message :
" You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below."

And I can only log in if I put my login + password + answer the question about Steve's guitar

Am I correct ?
What do you suggest me to do in this case ?

Thanks for the feedback and IT support
Have a nice evening

Quokka

By the way, changing password doesn't solve the problem.
If you want to log in, you need to complete all the fields : Username + Password + What is the name of Steve's main guitar?

It's a cookie issue.
In preperation for the new site, I've setup a caching system on the server (a system that stores frequently requested pages and content such as images in memory, rather than have it read from disk each time, greatly speeds up the site). This particular system is screwing up the cookies. There is a solution, but I still have to implement it. I'm just back from a 2 week holiday, so please hang on a bit longer and it will be fixed.

Cheers,
J
