Anyone know what pickups are in this guitar? I know he has two of these guitars and one seems to have standard single coils, but the other had a stacked single coil. I'm guessing two pro tracks with a jem single coil, but I have no clue. All I can say is it sounded amazing live.
Girly I has a rosewood fretboard (scalloped), 3pc neck, fernandes sustainer, single coil and stacked humbucker at the bridge. Tremolo is Lo-Pro Edge, chrome.
Girly II has a maple fretboard (scalloped), 3pc neck, noiseless single for the neck, middle and bridge position. Other hardware is the same as on Girly I. But this guitar has some active circuitry, I guess. There are two red lights where the sustainer witches regularly are and there is a compartment for the electronics on the back.
Steve said that the pickups on both are custom voiced DiMarzio single coils.

They are indeed LACS. However, the names 'girly' and 'girly ii' are not accurate.
The one with the maple fingerboard is called "Cherry Blossom", and has the lyrics to Under it All written on the back.
The other with the rosewood board is unnamed, has a sustainer, and it has the lyrics to " I know you're here" written on the back.

Besides in the "Machines" sections of vai.com, more detailed photographs of these two guitars can be seen here:

This is the other one (Steve's main choice between the two):

I think "Girly" was simply a reference name for Thomas to recognize her on tour.
