So that was the real secret!? Maybe that was Steve's plan all along...

If it was, he never mentioned it on the 'secret disc'.

You too. It's been a while. And now this place seems almost deserted. What happened?

Mikey left, and Steve has (somewhat) shifted his priorities.

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot about Mikey's departure. Too bad.

The announced releases that complete the set are -
- Alcatrazz: Panic Jungle [Live In Japan] (2 CDs}
- Steve Vai & The Classified (1 CD)
- Hot Chunks (1 CD)
- 100 page booklet

A decade has passed since the release of the SJB and 10,000 eager Steve Vai fans patiently await to complete their collection.
Holy cow, it HAS been a decade... where's the smiley for a "sigh" - guess I'll settle for "sad" like this: :(

my wife has the boxset. we were talking about it a few months ago. we both agreed that it woud be a shame if it doesn't get finished. would it be classed as a waste of money? possibly. wonders if its a licensing issue as to why the other cds havnt come out to buy. or has steve just not been bothered to sort it all.

if this boxset isn't going to get finished then steve should talk about it. if certin discs can't be put in the box for licensing issues then he should talk about that, maybe replace them with something very special maybe. come on pull your finger out lol. very frustrating. if this isnt finished soon, might as well sell it. :(

I feel more ripped off by GKS being cut off with no warning or compensation than I do the boxed set having a few missing discs.

What's been released already is pretty awesome. I'd love to get the rest too, but sell the boxed set? Did you want the music or not?

Though... a decade is a pretty long time have this incomplete.

Steve... I'll work relatively cheap. Hire me. I'll help out.

It's not the fact that it's incomplete that annoys me, it's the concept of ripping off your fans for a quick buck that annoys me. The booklet was supposed to be in my hands by now, in the hands of all those fans who bought the 'limited' box set. But how can he be sure that the 'limited' booklet gets into the hands of fans who actually own the box set? Where's the special pride in actually owning something that few people have?

An update would be welcome, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Oh look, another new signature amplifier.....

Here's an idea: Anybody doing the EVO experience? Take your box set along and ask him when/where the rest of the discs are?!

I don't like the idea of putting somebody on the spot, but... sheesh!

I'm not sure I'll be doing the EVO experience again. I think once you've done it once, that's it. I couldn't stomach another "how did you learn how to play guitar" discussion. But for first timers, it's a blast. I had a great time.

Surely someone could ask Steve for his official plans for the booklet......and ask him when the "EVO secret" is going to be used...... 8)
