Steve will be playing in Pittsburgh on Oct 25th, 2010?

I read this on the Dutch site of the Steve Vai festival:
"Steve Vai niet aanwezig op zondag 24 oktober
Eerder berichtten wij dat Steve Vai zelf aanwezig zal zijn tijdens de radiouitzending op 24 oktober.
Dit is helaas niet het geval aangezien hij op 25 oktober aan zijn tour in Pittsburgh begint."

For those who don't understand Dutch, it says that Steve won't attend the radio broadcast of October 24th (of course Steve will be playing at the concerts on Oct 22nd & Oct 23rd).
According to this site, the reason for not attending the radio broadcast is the fact that his tour starts in Pittsburgh on October 25th...
Could be a misunderstanding, maybe it's just a clinic that Steve will give in Pittsburgh. I personally doubt that it will be the start of a real tour. But hey in VAI-land anything can happen

UPDATE (today):
"Goed nieuws! De radio-uitzending van zondagmiddag wordt verplaatst naar zaterdagmiddag zodat Steve Vai er toch bij kan zijn! Noteer deze wijziging alvast in je agenda!"

They changed the date for the radioshow to Saturday. So Steve will be able to join the show and Mike Keneally will play the piano during that show.

Well in fact this has little to do with the title of this thread (it only confirms the fact that Steve will leave Holland on Sunday).

Hmm my guess is that Steve will be part of the "Experience Hendrix Tour"
I come to this conclusion after seeing Steve's flower power paint job on a Strat body and the lines he wrote on his facebook page:

"These guitars (there are two) are fashioned after the Jimi Hendrix Monterey Strat. My take on flower power 60's theme. They are for a special tour I am doing in the fall. I won't be quitting my day job to become a painter though."

Well, it's very likely, especially since Steve clearly stated that he will join the Experience Hendrix tour in the fall.

AAM: So what are the future plans for Steve Vai?
Steve Vai: Well I’ll be going to London doing a Master Class in November. I’ve got a pretty intense schedule this fall. I’m going to be kicking off a four day Steve Vai festival in Holland where two of the days are going to be with the Holland Symphony Orchestra. So right now until October most of my days are spent composing for that. Then after that I go into the first rehearsal for an Experience Hendrix tour and I am very excited about participating in that and then right from that I go to London, to do another clinic and then my studio will be finished and I start recording and go on tour next year .
