Best wishes Steve! Few of us are lucky enough to possess your talents, but we are lucky that you've been sharing them with us for all this time. May our luck continue for many, many more years!

I'm sure that your 50th Birthday was celebrated with the people you love and mean the most to you...because...you're Steve Vai.

Fifty is quite a milestone, Brother. May you remain young at heart and in spirit. You are an incredible human being, Steve.

Your gift of music does something to everyone here. There are many on this forum celebrating your birthday with you, if not in person, then at least in spirit.

Wishing you a 50th Birthday full of Peace, Love, and Happiness -

Nate

Yo! Steve,

It's that time again. One day closer to where you are going. May you have had a most revealing day and learned something new as always.

 Do you believe in telepathy Steve, or consider those instances of profound occurrence to be coincidence?
I say this because last time I saw you I wished a few days before the show that you would play a certain tune.
I even made a sign, yet I never had to use it. On the night of the show I got out my black sharpie and a piece of paper and wrote on it PLAY SISTERS. The reason for my hesitation of ever holding it up was that changing a set list mid show for me would never happen. To my surprise though you ended up playing a snipit of it on acoustic during a collage of tunes you weaved in and out of. I'll tell you I almost missed it too. As I was exiting the comode I recognized the familiar pleasent melody I never get tired of hearing. Whatever the case you made room for it and quite possibly it may have been that constant wave of silent communication working in a cosmic fashion. Oh and hell yeah! Thank you very much for filling my request.

I will be patiently waiting for you to return to Boise, ID and look forward to the second half of Real Illusions: Reflections. :headbang

Peace

Happy Birthday Steve,

We have a proverb in the Netherlands that's commonly used when someone is getting 50.
"Now you finally know, where Abraham is getting his mustard"
Meaning; When turning 50 a man should know what's life all about, let me ashore you this, I'm 51 myself now and I am still learning....
(by the way, Abraham is getting his mustard simply in the nearest supermarket)

Enjoy those grey hairs and rinkels.

Happy Greetz
