I just want to say that I think the Naked Tracks collection is the best post-production idea and innovation any artist has ever come up with. And it just goes to show us how a great writing/composing and a great rhythm track does more to propel an artist into the limelight. I hope other artists follow Steve's lead in this innovative move and do the same thing.

According to Frank Zappa, Steve, to paraphrase Frank, is a rhythmic master, able to do "impossible rhythm parts." On the Naked Tracks collection, I particularly like to play along with "The Blood and Tears," "Answers," and "Firewall."

I also hope Steve does a studio release of "I Know You're Here."

God bless you all.

I've just taken delivery the Naked Tracks (very cheap on Amazon incidentally!) and want to get jamming, but I can't see the TABs, key suggestions etc that are supposed to be available for download from Vai.com. Am I missing something? Are they tucked away somewhere less obvious?

Yeah, I'm still wondering If the TABs are going to be avaliable at Vai.com, maybe We'll have to buy the Hal Leonard Scores.

Great - I think I have all the books but there are still a few tracks that haven't been published.

My friend bought Steve's Naked Tracks collection, and in sheer shock he said
(Basicaly In his own words) he said "Theres no guitar, i dont want it......you can have it, if you like?"
(What a fool)

This is without a doubt THE greatest set of Cd's to ever be released.
Yes you can play Steve's songs note for note (which is great) but i do prefer to
find my own way, take on some traits/riffs of the artist and play what comes naturaly.

I think these are great for one reason... you realy can link your playing style with that of Steve's.
Not for better or for worse, but you realy understand why the songs are the way they are and the
nuts and bolts of them, and Steve's musical journey/thoughts and ideas and almost see what he was thinking.

Your not limited to playing "Like Steve" but you have the backing of a pro :D

Weldone Steve you ROCK :guitar

What did he think "Naked Tracks" meant, and didn't he read what it was that he ordered?

It's the best album I've ever bought. Can't put the guitar down now!
