Hey Folks,

I apologize if this has been asked a million times before but I was just wondering if anyone has made a replica of the legendary Green Meanie?

I was thinking of making one as a fall project and was looking for as many pics and tips as possible.

Any help would be appreciated,

Rich

The only ones I've seen are being sold by WayneCharvel, personally I think it would be more fun to make a relic'ed looking one and at the same time not having my wallet get violated. :P :P

Any tips on good magazines and other websites for pics of it. I have looked at some of the nice shots on JemSite.com but other than that....

Hmm, I wonder if Young Guitars did a nice spread on the "Green Meanie"??

green meany has a personality, no matter how much stickers you put on it, you cant duplicate that

SemiShred,

I hear ya, the green meanie is a classic rock & roll guitar with a personality all it's own. I want to make one more as a tribute to Vai, not to try an cop the original's vibe because that is impossible.

I made one out of different parts.
The last part my bridge pickup should be here by the end of the week.
I used a wayne charvel body (I wasn't happy with him) a warmoth neck (because wayne had a bug up his A-S-S and wouldn't sell me one, swithcraft pots ETC ETC, wired it up like the 7VWH jem,and put a real german floyd on it,also gotoh tuners.
Only bad thing is you can't find the stickers anymore so I might throw any stickers that look close on.
It plays well but i wish I went with a 7VWH  But one thing is no one around me has one like it :)

I'd love to see a pic of it.

I'm sure it would be ridiculously hard to find all of the stickers but I have seen some of them in bulk lots on Ebay.
