Digitech Whammy 5 True Bypass

#1 Post by kyle am I » Tue Aug 07, 2012 11:00 am

I just saw it today. Had no idea it was coming out. What do you guys think? Same price as the normal, but with true bypass and with classic and chord switch feature.

the true bypass is really long overdue. But now the whammy 4 is $50 cheaper. Id still buy the whammy 5, being cheap isn't worth bad tone.

I'm not a big fan of true bypass on all my pedals. It has too much affect on tone with long cables. Lots of companies throw the term true bypass as a gimmick really and people buy it up without doing real research and just assume everything should be true bypass.

I'm happy with the Whammy DT, it has switchable true bypass/buffered bypass and de-tunning.
