Searching for a good Bass Guitar Synthesizer Effect. Anyone?

Hi everyone!

Currently I've finished an album with my lounge / ambient / new age project called "fjel": http://www.myspace.com/fjelmusic

Now we are trying to build on a live set for these songs and we are looking for a good
synthesizer bass guitar sound. Does anyone has some ideas??
I know there's the Boss SYB-5, Electro Harmonix Microsynth, Digitech SYB, etc

But does anyone have a word of advise on these synthesizer bass guitar effect pedals???

Oh, and we're looking for the kind of sounds you often hear in the music of say Jamiroquai, Nerve (with Jojo Mayer), Future Sound of London, etc...
